Footpaths from the door lead along a woodland path through quiet countryside to nearby Hawkshead, with its host of specialist shops and a good selection of places to eat and drink.


Shepherd's Cottage is furnished in a homely, traditional style, with coordinating fabrics and lovely personal touches. The owners provide a 'Welcome Tray' for their guests, to include a pint of milk for that important cuppa upon arrival, particularly refreshing after a long journey.
