The Lake District National Park is within 30 minutes drive as is the Historic City of Carlisle. The seafaring towns of Whitehaven and Maryport are a must to visit with their attractive harbours and various tourist attractions. Skinburness adjoins the Victorian seaside town of Silloth, still retaining its original cobbled streets and famous for it's highly rated Links Golf Course. There is a holiday village in Silloth with swimming pool, bowling, gymnasium and club with evening entertainment for which you may purchase daily tickets.
