It is situated opposite Threlkeld village at the entrance to St John's in the Vale, with numerous walks from the doorstep. It takes 15 minutes to walk into Threlkeld where you will find two good pubs, one serving bar meals and one with a restaurant. The bustling town of Keswick is 4 miles and here you will find a wealth of amenities and visitor attractions. Champmere is easily accessed being only 1/2 mile from the A66 and 15 minutes from the motorway.

Threlkeld is steeped in history with its church dating back to 1573 and its two pubs back to 1688. The village is now a mixture of farming and weekend cottages and is an ideal location to enjoy the peaceful countryside with its many walks from the door, as well as golf and cycling opportunities

Kiln How Cottage (Threlkeld) sleeps a maximum of 5 people.. Situated in the middle of Threlkeld Village, Kiln how Cottage is fully modernised and refurbished to a high standard. The neighbouring property of 'Millerdale' has the same owner and the 2 cottages may be let seperately or together for up to 11 people. Kiln Howe lies adjacent to Kiln How Beck in the centre of Threlkeld village along a short lane off the main street. Threlkeld sits at the foot of the mighty Blencathra, which can be viewed from outside the cottage, and lies just 4 miles to the east of Keswick and 15 minutes drive from the motorway. The Horse and Farrier public house and restaurant is within 100 yards and the Salutaion Inn, which serves bar meals, is approximately 200 yards. There is a footpath leading from the cottage directly onto Blencathra, which rises steeply above the village, infact there are so many walks locally your car may be parked up for the week. A shared garage with Millerdale provides secure storage for bikes.

Millerdale is a pretty lakeland stone cottage of character that was bought in 2006 by the owners of Kiln How, at which time they fully modernised and refurbished the cottage to the same high standards. In fact the 2 cottages are next door to each other and may be let separately or together to accommodate up to 11 people.


Millerdale lies adjacent to Kiln How Beck in the centre of Threlkeld village, along a short lane off the main street. The Horse and Farrier public house and restaurant is within 100 yards and the Salutation Inn, which serves bar meals, is approx 200 yards. There is a footpath leading from the cottage directly onto Blencathra, which rises steeply above the village. Threlkeld is easily accessed form the M6, just a 15 minute drive and only 4 miles from the bustling tourist town of Keswick with its many amenities.


The accommodation is for 6 people, although there are beds for 8, to allow for flexibility of sleeping arrangements rather than extra people.
