Old Coachmans Cottage (Western Lakes and Coast) sleeps a maximum of 5 people..
The Old Coachmans is a perfect seaside holiday cottage; situated 20 yards from the beach, in the centre of Allonby, with a children's play area opposite. The kids are going to love it here, but so will the adults, with views across the sea to the scottish hills, magnificent sunsets and miles of walks along the beach.Allonby is a convenient base for day excursions to the Borders, Southern Scotland and The Lake District National Park. You could be in bustling Keswick in half an hour or the more peaceful, remote and unspoilt Western Lakes in about 45 minutes. Visit historic Carlisle (30 minutes) with its medieval castle, Norman Cathedral and museum or have a day out at the Roman fort and museum at Housesteads and walk along Hadrian's Wall (about 1 hour's drive)


Allonby is also superbly situated for birdwatching along the Solway Estuary or at the RSPB sites at St Bees, and for golf - there is a superb golf links approximately seven miles away at Silloth, a qualifying venue for the Open Championships.


Local amenities include a post office and two shops, one just 20 yards from the cottage, two pubs offering meals and two cafe/snack bars. There is a small indoor swimming pool in the lesiure centre within a caravan site.

Wright Green Station House (Western Lakes and Coast) sleeps a maximum of 4 people..
This detached former Station House sits in 1 acre of private garden in a beautiful rural setting at Wright Green, Lamplugh, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The railway line was opened in 1861 to carry iron-ore and coal from the nearby mines and in later years carried passengers before closing in 1954.


The house is both well appointed and beautifully furnished providing a magnificent retreat in tranquil surroundings, from which to explore the Western Lakes and Cumbrian Coast. There are the pretty seaside towns of Silloth, Allonby, St Bees and Ravenglass, the historic georgian town of Whitehaven with its wonderful marina and links to the rum trade and the nearby mountains and lakes including Loweswater, Ennerdale and Buttermere.
